Where Clinical Expertise Meets Real Impact

DASA is seeking a full-time Therapeutic Lead, based in Alice Springs, NT, in a clinical role at the heart of the organisation. As DASA's only clinical position, the Therapeutic Lead provides expert clinical advice and support to non-clinical staff working with clients who have complex, high needs, including guiding staff through DASA's low-acuity detox program.

Reporting to the Deputy CEO and sitting on DASA's Executive Leadership Group and Clinical Governance Sub-Committee, this role brings clinical expertise into the heart of organisational decision-making. With four direct reports across DASA's residential and outreach programs, the Therapeutic Lead balances strategic influence with genuine operational leadership.

This is a role with real scope for someone to make it their own, shaping programs, building staff capability, and growing professionally in a way not always possible elsewhere.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical programs across DASA
• Provide clinical governance, facilitating reviews and developing plans to support clients with complex needs and behaviours
• Manage and support the Assessment and Intake function across DASA
• Partner with the Deputy CEO and Executive Leadership Group, contributing clinical expertise to organisational decisions
• Supervise and lead the performance of four Service Managers, confidently guiding the team through key decisions
• Recruit, train and support the professional development of service delivery staff
• Provide financial oversight and support budget preparation, tender and grant applications
• Build positive relationships with funding bodies, educational institutions and sector stakeholders
• Maintain awareness of current AOD research and best practice, including responding to shifting drug trends in the region

Is This You?

To qualify, you will need a clinical tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor’s degree level) in the Alcohol and Other Drug or related health or social care field(s). A minimum of 2 years' experience in managing a variety of programs concurrently with an understanding of current intervention models in the Alcohol and Other Drug field will also be essential.

DASA is also looking for:

• Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, performance management and conflict resolution
• Experience preparing high-level reports, budgets and funding submissions
• A genuine, demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities
• Strong communication skills, including confidence facilitating groups and presenting to senior stakeholders
• A current Driver's Licence (manual an advantage, not essential)
• Willingness and ability to travel, including to remote communities and Groote Eylandt
